Walking The Chilterns for Rennie Groves

Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge

We are pleased to announce that we will be taking part in the Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge on Sunday 11th September 2022 to raise funds for the great Rennie Groves charity.

Join the Kehorne team at this dog-friendly event where you can tackle the Chilterns hills whilst soaking up the beautiful countryside views and raising vital funds in aid of Rennie Grove.

There are four different challenges you can participate in:

  • 6.5-mile linear route, which tackles Whiteleaf Cross and Coombe Hill before a bus ride back to Princes Risborough School
  • 8-mile circular route, taking in Whiteleaf Cross, with mapped directions, starting and ending at Princes Risborough School
  • 10-mile linear route, taking in all three peaks, with a bus journey between Wendover and Tring station for those who want the full experience without all the miles
  • 18-mile linear route, walking the entire route from Princes Risborough School to the top of Ivinghoe Beacon, traversing all three peaks, with a bus ride back to the start

Everyone that completes the challenge receives a medal on the day.

You can support without walking

However, if you do not want to take part you can still help by sponsorship.

Last year almost 1,000 people took part and raised a staggering £83,000. The funds raised paid for two Health Care Assistants for a year, enabling them to continue caring for patients in their own homes.

How sponsorship helps

Sponsorship contributes to funding Rennie Grove’s care in the community. Rennie Grove need to raise over £20,000 every day to continue to provide their services for all the local people who need it.

Your sponsorship money helps to provide end-of-life care to local patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their families. Because of the pandemic, Rennie Groves are caring for more patients than ever, as many as 600 at any one time, in fact. Those patients need them, and they need us to help fund their care. £60 could pay for 2 hours of care for a patient.
