About the employer

Kehorne is a Website and Digital media development company. We have been building websites since 2008, but our experience goes back to 1999. We are a specialist company doing a lot of work building websites for Marketing and Brand agencies. This allows us to work for a number of household names on high quality websites, ranging from short term promotional microsites to full websites for the company.

The role is based in our Slough office although in due course there is an opportunity to work remotely.

Short description of the role

We are looking for someone to train as an Assistant Digital Project Manager (60%) and as a Admin Assistant (40%).

Assistant Digital Project Manager (60%)
This role involves working with the senior Project Managers on planning projects, creating scopes for websites, generating quotes and overseeing the day to day running of the project as well as liaising directly with the end client to keep them up to speed with where we are on projects. There is also an element of testing websites across browsers and devices.

Admin Assistant (40%)
This part of the role involves general internal admin tasks in the office, as well as generating invoices, generating content (with help) and posting to our social media accounts. Compiling and adding content to our websites.

Training to be provided

On the job training from an experienced Project Manager as well as allocated time to complete self-guided online courses, agreed in advance with the team.

Working week

The vacancy will entail working 5 days a week with an average of 31.5 hours a week

Wages

Minimum wage based on age.

Desired Skills

As this is a digital role, it is important that the successful applicant has a keen interest in the Internet as well as a wider interest in Technology. The applicant needs good office skills (Microsoft Word & Excel). Any experience of using graphics packages would be an advantage, but is not essential. Good written English is a must, as there is a lot of sending detailed emails to clients that needs to be clearly written.

Desired personal qualities

To be a success In this role the applicant needs to be well organised, methodical and have a keen eye for detail. There is a lot of following process in the job, as well as liaising with the end client (by email, Zoom and in person), so good people skills and a friendly outgoing nature is a real advantage.

Desired qualifications

A good GCSE pass in English & Maths
A good pass in IT is desirable
A pass in an art/humanities subject is desirable

Future prospects

Once the apprenticeship has been completed, and assuming that both sides are happy with the relationship then it will convert into a full time role, with a clear plan for progression designed and agreed by both sides (based on the outcomes of the Apprenticeship)
