At Kehorne, our roots run deep in the Slough community. For over 20 years, we’ve been more than just a web design and development company – we’ve been active participants in the growth and wellbeing of our town. That’s why we’re proud to support the #OneSlough Awards, a celebration of the volunteers, charities, and organisations that make Slough a better place for everyone.
“We have been a sponsor of #OneSlough for a few years by providing the awards website free of charge” notes Paul Fogg, “and having attended the awards ceremony and seeing how groups of people come together in Slough in the voluntary sector to support one another, we felt that we could do more to help our local community, so this year we are sponsoring the Group Award.”
Celebrating Community Spirit
The #OneSlough Awards, organised by Slough Council for Voluntary Service (Slough CVS), shine a spotlight on the incredible contributions of local volunteers, community groups, and partnerships. From supporting children and young people to championing health and wellbeing, these awards recognise the selfless efforts that often go unnoticed. In 2024, the awards ceremony brought together over 240 community members and leaders to honour these local heroes.
Aligning with Our Values
At Kehorne we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Our support for the #OneSlough Awards aligns with this commitment. By sponsoring one of these awards, we aim to highlight the importance of volunteering and encourage others to get involved in their communities.
Supporting Local Initiatives
Our involvement with the #OneSlough Awards is just one aspect of our broader commitment to supporting local initiatives. We’ve helped many local charities and community groups establish an online presence.
We have been using our Slough Online business as a vehicle to support local charities and good causes for a few years by offering much reduced rates on our work so that groups can take advantage of the value of a website. We also ran a competition for a charity to gain a new website for free – this was independently judged and Ujala Foundation won.
We believe that by empowering these organisations we can help them reach a wider audience and make a greater impact.
Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community.
